Special Thanks :)

Hello Dear Family, Friends, & Followers,

I would like to take a moment to thank all of the beautiful people who have carried us through one of the most difficult times in our lives.  Here are some of the ways God has used others to bless our family:

On December 3, 2010 a card came in the mail & the return label said "Heaven".  I giggled because my son goes to a hair salon called Heaven.  I opened up the card and found a cashier's check for $600.00.  It truly was from HEAVEN!  Thanks soo much for helping our family.  We will never forget you!

Right before Christmas someone called us on the phone and told us to look outside on our porch.  There was a large & very heavy present there.  We opened it up and found a HUGE jar of coins :)  Bill, Josh, Ben, & I  took the jar of coins to Martin's to dump it into the change counting machine & as we watched the coins pour out into the machine a one hundred dollar bill came out of the jar.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for choosing to bless our family!!!  We are planning to do the same thing for a family in need this Christmas :)

Our refrigerator stopped working in November right around Thanksgiving time.  The cost to get it fixed was way too much for us.  We have an old Coke cooler so used it for our make shift refrigerator, as well as a cooler in the garage.  On Christmas Eve our dear friends Jim & Marianne blessed us with a check to help us get a new fridge.  Then one of our incredible adopted kids, Jeremy blessed us with a check.  My Uncle Willey said that he wanted to help us get a refrigerator and told me to come and look at Lowe's.  My Sissy Krissy & I went to look and see what we could find.  I always like looking in the scratch & dent are because you can get some REALLY great deals doing so.  I looked in that area, along with the new ones.  My Sissy Krissy went to use the rest room and came back all excited telling me that there were more refrigerators as she came out of the restroom.  WOW!!!  There was my dream fridge sitting there with an AMAZING price tag.  It had some dents in the side, but who cares when nobody will ever see them.  I asked for a further discount and they accepted.  My Uncle Willey was able to get me the best deal every!  Thanks to each of you for loving us soo much.  Every single time we look at that refrigerator you are all remembered :)

These are just a few of the ways that God showed His Amazing Love to us :)  I will share more next post.

Please let me know how I can pray for you today.  Prayer is soo POWERFUL & I always am reminding myself - I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength!!!

Resting In Christ,
Love - Stacey :)

Childhood Cancer Awareness

One of my heart's desires is to find a CURE for Childhood Cancer.

I've been so very blessed to meet some AMAZING kids through a Prayer List I started to pray for kids that are busy kickin' cancers big butt, for those who are in remission, & for Our ^^ANGELS^^  Families - who miss their kids terribly.

Each child has left footprints on my heart 4-EvEr :)

Please remember to say a prayer that there will be a CURE for cancer, so nobody else has to suffer with this horrible disease.

MEMORIES

On my trip back home from visiting my parents & brother, my mind was flooded with soo many Amazing MEMORIES.  I'm soo blessed to have family that loves me so much :)

I saw the name of a highway and it reminded me just how many times that I'd taken trips on it with my parents, brother, & my own family - too many to even count.

I passed the road that my Mama & Papa use to live on the way home. The childhood MEMORIES of climbing huge pine trees & playing outside with cousins, eating my Mama's fried chicken & mashed potatoes, & even having to use that Outhouse put the biggest SMILE on my face as I drove past the road where we use to turn in to see them.

We are so very blessed to have such Amazing Memories.

This past year has been a very difficult one for our family.  I can't imagine how we could make any Memories in this time of our lives.

Then I remembered back to a similar time in my life when my parents were both going to Bible College & my brother & I to Christian School.  I remember my Dad getting layed off from his night shift job, Mom cleaning houses, me taking care of the house, shopping, cooking, & my brother.  I remember cleaning the church, doing lawn jobs, & anything we could to make extra money.  I remember the day we received food assistance and thinking we were rich because of all the food we were able to get at the grocery store that day.  I remember getting money in the mail that was the exact amount to cover a bill.  I even remember people leaving bags of groceries on our front porch.

I know now that God let us go through these difficult situations so that we would grow closer to  him & so that those very hard days would also be some of the best Memories of our lives.

So here I am again - in the same situation with my husband of 25 years and two boys.  I am being reminded once again that the same Amazing God who took care of us back then is taking care of us today :)

Some verses that have really helped me to get through this time in life are:

Matthew 6:26 - Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Matthew 6:34 - Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.
I encourage you to start journaling some of your Memories :) - Because Memories Last 4-EvEr!

In Christ - Stacey
